Delete your account

You can delete your Believers Dating account yourself, at any time. It is permanent, and it happens straight away.

From the app

  1. 1. Open Believers Dating and sign in.
  2. 2. Go to Settings.
  3. 3. Tap Delete account.
  4. 4. Type DELETE PROFILE, then YES, and enter your password.

Your Premium is lost, and it is not refunded

Deleting erases your subscription and your payment history. If you bought a one-time or lifetime plan, it goes with the account and cannot be restored or moved to a new one — even if you sign up again with the same email address.

If you only want a break, use Pause Dating in Settings instead. It hides you from Discover and keeps everything else.

What is erased

  • • Your profile — name, email, gender, age and everything you wrote.
  • • Your photos, including your gallery, removed from our storage.
  • • Your faith details — denomination, church, and your preferences.
  • • Every like you sent and received.
  • • All of your matches, and the conversations in them.
  • • Your Premium subscription and your payment history.

Your matches disappear from the other person's list too. They are not told why, and they cannot see your profile or messages afterwards.

If you also use other ShommyX products

Believers Dating shares one account with the rest of the ShommyX family. Deleting it deletes that whole account, not only the dating part — so if you use ShommyX Church or Believers Notes with the same email address, those go too.

If you are the only admin of a church, you will be asked to hand that over first. Nothing is deleted until you do.

If you have already uninstalled the app

Email support@believersdating.com from the address your account is registered to, and ask us to delete it. We will confirm it is you before we do anything, and email you when it is done.

Signing in and doing it yourself is faster — the app deletes immediately, where an emailed request has to wait for a person.
