Child Safety Standards

Believers Dating is strictly for adults. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation, and we act on every report.

Our standard, stated plainly

Child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form is forbidden on Believers Dating. This includes sexual content involving anyone under 18, sexualised depictions of minors whether real or generated, grooming, solicitation of a minor, and trafficking. There is no warning and no second chance: accounts are removed and reports are escalated to the appropriate authorities.

This service is 18+, and that is enforced

  • • A date of birth is required to create a dating profile, and anyone under 18 is refused by our servers — not merely discouraged in the interface.
  • • The app is rated 18+ / Mature and is distributed on Google Play with under-18 users blocked from downloading it.
  • • Accounts we find to belong to a minor are removed, whatever the date of birth entered at sign-up said.

Reporting a child safety concern

Every profile and conversation in the app can be reported, and “Underage” is one of the reasons you can choose. You do not need an account in good standing, a subscription, or a match with the person to report them. You can also block anyone immediately, which is independent of reporting.

Reports of suspected CSAE are prioritised ahead of the general moderation queue. If you cannot use the app for any reason, email childsafety@believersdating.com.

What we do when a report arrives

  • • The report enters a moderation queue and is reviewed by a person.
  • • Where there is a credible child safety concern, the profile is suspended immediately, which removes it from Discover and from every other member's view, before the review concludes.
  • • Confirmed CSAE results in permanent removal of the account and preservation of the relevant evidence.
  • • We report to the relevant national authorities, and to NCMEC where applicable, in line with the law that applies to us and to the people involved.

What we do not claim

We are being precise rather than reassuring here, because a standards page that overstates itself is worse than one that does not. Believers Dating does not scan or proactively monitor the content of private conversations between matched adults. Our detection depends on member reports, on profile photo checks at sign-up, and on review of accounts flagged by our own systems. If that changes, this page changes with it.

Point of contact

Questions about these standards, our CSAE prevention practices, or a specific report can be directed to childsafety@believersdating.com. For anything else, use support@believersdating.com.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. Do not wait for us to respond.
